We kindly invite you to participate in the International Scientific Conference “Legal
and economic conditions for the functioning of the Foundation” organized by the Department of Finance of the Faculty of Economic Sciences of SGGW in Warsaw. The Conference will be held on 07.06.2019 in the Main Library W.Grabskiego at Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW.
The topics of the Conference include the following:
1. Compatibility of the Polish statutory model of the foundation with a constitutional pattern.
2. Adequacy of the legal regulation regarding the operation of different types of foundations.
3. The founder’s will as a determinant and limiter of the foundation’s activities.
4. The role of the State Treasury and public entities in the creation and functioning of
foundations.
5. Effectiveness and adequacy of supervision measures over foundations.
6. The Inclusion of the foundation’s capital in the scope of the Treaty principles of the
European Union.
7. Polish foundation law in a legal-comparative aspect with selected models from Western European countries.
8. A new system for financing the activities of the foundation from public funds.
9. Economic incentives and risks related to the establishment and functioning of the
foundation.
The Main objective of the Conference is to exchange experience of the foundation
between practitioners and researchers, in order to determine their legal function and the sources of funding to implement the tasks adopted. An Important thematic area is also the determination of the role of the founder and the adequacy of legal regulations regarding the operation of different types of foundations. The Studies sent to the Conference will be published by the SGGW Publishing House in Warsaw in the form of scientific monographs.
